13 | On August 20, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Carol Heath conducted an unannounced follow-up complaint inspection and met with the Director, Veronica Rose. The purpose of the inspection was to deliver the findings of the complaint allegations. During the visit, LPA observed 60 children present, with 8 staff members and the director at the facility.
During the investigation, LPA Heath toured the facility and interviewed staff and all relevant parties. The findings are as follows: Allegation #1: Daycare children were left alone with an adult without Early Childhood Education (ECE) units. Findings: The investigation revealed inconsistent statements. Video clips showed a lead teacher seated and observing the classroom from behind a shelf. Allegation #2: Staff did not follow a daycare child's dietary needs.Findings: LPA reviewed the facility's meal procedure. It was noted that children with special dietary needs have a card on the meal cart, and a food allergy list is posted in both the kitchen and the app. Allegation #3: Staff violated children’s personal rights. Findings: Interviews revealed that children dispose of their plates after completing their meals.
