13 | On May 19, 2025, LPA Villa amended the report to remove one substantiated allegation.
On May 14, 2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Annelise Villa conducted an unannounced inspection at the facility. The purpose of the visit was to deliver findings for a complaint received at Palmdale RO on February 18, 2025. LPA was greeted by Director Marsha Jones who granted access. LPA completed a safety inspection which resulted in zero deficiencies. LPA observed 5 preschool age children in care at the time of the visit.
Allegation #1: Criminal Record Clearance: Uncleared staff providing care to day care children. Interview and record review revealed Staff #2 did not complete a fingerprint clearance. Per Staff #2, a livescan was completed in 2022, however, there is no record in Guardian, the Community Care Licensing database for criminal record clearances. The child care center did not ensure criminal record clearances were granted for all adults. This is in violation of Health and Safety Code Section 1596.871(c)(1)(A). This is a Type A citation, please see 9099-D.
