On August 9, 2023, at 1:45 P.M., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Joselito L. Del Mundo made an unannounced complaint inspection to the Pure & Simple Academy Inc. The purpose of the visit was to deliver findings for the above allegation. LPA Del Mundo met with Deborah Castillo who granted access to LPA. LPA observed 9 staff and 33 children in care. Soon after, director Sandra Lona Aguirre came to the facility.

During the investigation, LPA conducted confidential interviews and obtained documentation. After observations and interviews with staff and all parties involved, regarding the allegation: Staff inappropriately restrained the daycare child, it was determined that the allegation could not be collaborated.

Therefore, the allegation has been found unsubstantiated. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the facility staff were violating any

An exit Interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was read, a Notice of Site Visit, was discussed and left with director Sandra Lona Aguirre at the facility. Failure to maintain the posting of the Notice of Site visit will result in a $100 Civil Penalty.
