25 | On 1/15/2025, LPA made a correction on the room purposes. On 1/14/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Andrea Pittman conducted an unannounced case management visit at the facility and was met by the Facility Representative who permitted entry to the facility. LPA toured the facility with the Lead Teacher Jasmine Ruiz according to the facility sketch. Upon arrival, LPA observed 29 infants and toddlers present with 12 staff members providing care and supervision; the Lead Teacher stated that each classroom had additional staff present but were currently on break during the walk through. LPA observed that the facility was within ratio in each classroom.
During this inspection, LPA conducted an inspection of the toddlers and infants classrooms as the facility made a request to re-purpose the classrooms for the infants and toddlers rooms: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. LPA observed Rooms 1, 4, and 5 were currently being used for the toddlers, the Lead Teacher stated that there is a plan to soon open Room 6 for toddlers, as well. LPA observed Room 2 currently being used for infants, the Lead Teacher stated that there is a plan to soon open Room 3; however, it will be opened for toddlers instead of infants. The rooms were inspected to see if they meet the requirements for indoor activity including age appropriate toys and equipment, eating including the use of high chairs, age appropriate cots/cribs were available for napping, diapering/toileting including age appropriate toilets and sinks and changing tables; and all other licensing requirements. LPA observed that needs are being met for both infants and toddlers in each respective classroom.
LPA was able to observe the staff of the toddlers and infants and determined that their basic needs are currently being met and personal rights are being followed by the Staff. The Room changes have been approved for their intended use per the facility's request, as the following: Rooms 2 is age appropriate for infants and Rooms 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 are age appropriate for toddlers.
All licensing reports are recommended to be kept for 3 years. An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was read and provided to the Lead Teacher along with the Notice of Site Visit and Appeal Rights.
