Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jennifer Hua conducted an unannounced case management inspection . LPA met with Director Kamal Gupta. The purpose of the visit was announced.

The purpose of today's inspection is to go over the water lead test results received on 8/28/2022. Results indicate that the water fountain and the faucet had action level exceedance of lead. The water fountain located in the playground had a lead result of 21.1 ppb. The faucet located in the twos classroom sink next to the diaper changing table had a lead result of 25.8 ppb. LPA observed the water fountain located on the playground has been completely removed. LPA observed the faucet next to the diaper changing table in the twos classroom has been replaced. Per director, the water fountain has never been used for water consumption or food preparation source. The facility has always purchased bottled water from US Food twice a month and as needed. Director also stated when children are outside, the bottled water and cups are brought outside for children.. Facility has bottled water delivered. LPA observed bottled water and cups in all classrooms (twos, Pre-K, PS) available for children. LPA also observed many bottled water in the pantry. Director stated the faucet next to the diaper changing table in the twos classroom has never been used for water consumption or food preparation source. The faucet is only used for hand washing as it is located next to the diaper changing table. LIC 9276, LIC 9275, the facility sketch, photos to show that water fountain has been removed, faucet has been replaced, bottled water in pantry and receipts of bottled water purchased.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Facility Representative Kamal Gupta. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
