25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) R. Derraco conducted an unannounced annual inspection to the above facility on 12/18/24. LPA arrived at the facility at 12:15 and met with Sandra Merza, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Also present during this inspection was an assistant S2 and Co-Licensee Arlin Wells. Per Licensee, there are 12 children that are currently enrolled. There were 8 children present upon arrival.
This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room,garage, front yard and backyard (fenced). The off limit areas include 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and front yard. Per licensee, the front yard is only used during the summer season.
The main care are is located in the living room / dining area. LPA observed child sized tables, child sized chairs, couch, wall mounted television, children's reading material, age appropriate toys, and a wooden cubby locker for storing personal belongings. LPA did not observed sharp or pointy objects to be accessible to children in care. Sharp or pointy objects were observed to be stored above the stove and out of the reach of children in care/ Cleaning supplies were also observed kept in a cabinet above the kitchen counter. Per licensees, they provide food for children in care. Licensee's were advised that children who bring food from home must have their containers individually labelled and properly stored or refrigerated. Bedroom 1 was observed with 3 wooden Foundations cribs, and a wooden infant changing station. Bedroom 2 was observed with a Cosco playpen, a bed, dresser and a keyboard. The garage space was observed with additional child sized tables, child sized chairs, a sink, age appropriate toys and laundry appliances. Licensees understand that garage space can only be used as an activity space; children in care cannot nap or take meals in the garage space. The outdoor play area is located in the backyard. LPA observed the backyard to have perimeter fencing, a wooden play structure, plastic dramatic play sets, and outdoor play equipment. A pool was observed in the backyard play area. LPA observed a fence around the pool with a self closing gate that opens away from the pool. The fence was observed to be anchored into the ground
