25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) R. Derraco conducted an unannounced case management inspection to the above mentioned facility on 03/05/25. LPA began inspection at 12:00PM with Director, Candyce Brizzolara, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. LPA observed 4 adults and 31 children in care. The physical plant of the center was observed to be in compliance with California Code of Regulation (CCR) Title 22.
The purpose of this visit is to review background clearances for adults present in the child care center. LPA advised Director that S2 was not on the association list. Director provided document titled DOJ Applicant Fingerprint Response dated 04/19/22. LPA advised Director that response document from DOJ is not proof of an individuals Criminal Background Clearance. Per Guardian search, S2 had fingerprints taken, but background clearance was not issued. Application for background clearance was closed 07/2022. Both Director and S2 confirmed that S2 has been employed as a teacher for almost 3 years at the childcare center.
LPA advised Director that a Type A citation under California Code of Regulation (CCR) section 101170(a)(2)(D) will be issued.
LPA R. Derraco informed Director Candyce Brizzolara that this report dated 03/05/25 documents one Type A citation which shall be posted for 30 consecutive days as there is an immediate risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care.
Also, LPA R. Derraco informed the Director Candyce Brizzolara to provide a copy of this licensing report dated 03/05/25 that documents any Type A citation(s) to parents/guardians of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224), or other written statement, must be placed in the child's file for verification.
