25 | On September 19, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Upon arrival LPA Ayala was greeted by licensee, Diana Esquer who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. LPA observed 7 children in care, per licensee there are 8 children enrolled. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7AM to 6PM.
This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, front yard and backyard (fenced). The children use the day care area (rear/family room), rear bedroom, bathroom (located in the rear of the home), the living room, kitchen, dining room, and front yard (fenced). Areas off limits to children and parents include the garage, back yard, office, master bedroom and master bathroom. The licensees provide food for children in care.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPA observed working smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working telephone.
There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. Licensee has current First Aid and CPR, expires 07/07/2025.
LPA reviewed children files; files were found to be complete. LPA reviewed staff files; files were found to be complete. Children and staff names were documented on LIC811 (confidential page).
The licensee has completed the online mandated reporter training at www.mandatedreporterca.com, expires on 06/29/2026. All childcare employees must complete mandated reporter training within 30 days of hire and renew training every two years
