25 | On February 20, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala conducted an unannounced Annual/Required inspection at the above facility. Upon arrival LPA was greeted by licensee, Graciela Carranza who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. LPAs observed 7 child in care. Also present is co-licensee Rogelio Carranza. Per licensee there are 18 children enrolled. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 5:30AM to 8:30PM. Per licensee she does offer 23 hours of care if needed.
This is a two-story home which consists of 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, recreation room, garage, front yard, and backyard (fenced). Children use the 3 bathrooms, 2 bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining room, recreation room and back yard for play. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: entire first floor, licensee's bathroom, 3 bedrooms, front yard, and detached garage. LPA observed napping equipment for children in care in bedroom #1 and #2 (cots and mats). LPA observed chickens/hens and a rosters in the front yard (off limits) and are kept in a cage at all times. LPA observed 2 turtles in the recreation room and are kept in a tank with a lid on top. Per licensee she provides meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner and 3 snacks) for children in care.
The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated. Licensee provides breakfast, lunch and snacks. LPA observed a functioning Smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide and working telephone. LPA did not observe a serviced or full charged fire extinguisher.
There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. Licensees First Aid and CPR expires on 10/28/2025.
