Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Seung Lee conducted an unannounced required inspection. Upon arrival LPA Lee met with site supervisor Rina Giron who provided a tour of the facility. This preschool program currently consists of 2 classrooms (B106 & B108). Hours of operation for this facility is Monday-Friday 7AM-6PM

During the inspection LPA Lee observed 12 children with 3 staff members in Room B108; 15 children with 2 staff members in Room B106.

LPA observed 2 classrooms (B106,& B108). Office can be found in the bungalow B110A. Access is through the main entrance of Washington Elementary School. Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. Children have their own cubby to store their belongings. Personal bedding is taken home each week to be washed. Napping equipment (cots) were observed in the hallway outside the classrooms. Per site supervisor, there is an isolation restroom area for ill children. Age appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability and good repair in all restrooms. The children bring their own water bottles from home which is used inside the classroom and during outside play time. If a child does not bring their water bottle, the facility provides a small plastic water bottle to the child.

Children's records were reviewed and found complete. Staff files are not located at this site and were not available for review. Sign in and out sheets were reviewed.

LPAs observed lunch and snack menus in the classrooms and reviewed for availability and appropriateness to children in care. Meals and snacks are provided through the school district.
