25 | On February 21, 2025, at 9:05a.m., Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Keneisha Dunlap conducted an unannounced case management visit at the above facility. LPA Dunlap announced the purpose of visit and grated entry into the facility by the Licensee- Cecilia Espinoza. The purpose of today's visit was to follow up on an Unusual Incident Report (UIR) submitted on February 18, 2025, regarding a Parent Concern.
On February 18, 2025, The Licensee submitted a UIR, stating that a Parent texted the Licensee questioning why the Licensee cut their child’s hair. Licensee confirmed, that did not happen while the child was in care.
During today's visit, LPA conducted interview with the Licensee, made observations and the Licensee provided text messages and pictures from the conversation with the Parent.
Based on the interview, the Licensee stated they were unaware a child's hair had been cut before the child left the facility. They confirmed the child was in their care from 12:30 pm until 6:45 pm. The Licensee stated that other children at the facility were asleep during the child's time there, and therefore, they did not review camera footage. The Licensee cared for eight children that day and was the only staff member (the Licensee) present. They received a text message from the child's parent approximately three to four hours after pickup, inquiring about the child's hair. The Licensee attempted to call the parent but was unsuccessful. The Licensee stated there have been no prior concerns or incidents regarding the child's care.
At this time, further investigation will be conducted by CCLD. No deficiencies cited at this time.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee- Cecilia Espinoza Page 1 of 1
