| LPA did not observe any hazardous material in the bathroom. The back yard was then inspected and LPA observed lots of outdoor toys for children in care. All areas were observed to be clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated.
There are first aid supplies available. Per licensee, they provide all meals to children in care. LPA reminded licensee that food brought from the children's homes, the container shall be labeled with the child's name and properly stored or refrigerated.
If a child becomes ill, the child is isolated in the living room area while the child is picked up. A mat is available if needed.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children.
LPA observed a smoke/carbon monoxide detector however did not test. Per licensee they have purchased a new dual detector which have not been installed because the existing one does not work. LPA verified that the licensee obtains new detectors. Per licensee they will be installed this weekend. Facility will receive a technical violation. LPA observed a 2A-10BC fire extinguisher. The valve on the fire extinguisher pointed to the fully charged green section. However, it obtains a service tag of 3/16/2023. Per licensee they need to get it serviced or they will purchase a new one. There is a working telephone on site. Per Title 22 Emergency Disaster Drill must be conducted and documented at least every 6 months. Per licensee, the last emergency disaster drill was conducted and documented on 3/04/2025.
Per the licensee, there are no firearms, or bodies of water on the premises. LPA observed a small dog housed in the back yard. Per licensee, the children do not have access to the dog while they are outside.
LPA conducted a children file review and deemed it not complete. 1 out of 2 children did not have a completed file for LPA to review.
LPA conducted staff file review and deemed it not complete. 1 out of 1 staff does not obtain proof that they have been immunized against measles and pertussis.
Licensee obtains current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification that expires on 03/08/2027
