25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mary Silva conducted an unannounced annual required inspection at the above facility on 07/12/24. Licensing staff met with Licensee Olga Gonzalez, whom the reason for the visit was explained. Visit was conducted on Spanish. LPA was guided analyst on a tour of the facility. There were eight children present upon arrival, two of which were infants. Facility capacity is in compliance for a Large Family Child Care Home. Hours of operation are Monday-Saturday 5:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
This is a single-story home, that consists of four-bedrooms, two-bathrooms, kitchen, formal living room, second living room, dining room, family room(daycare room), attached garage, laundry room, gated front yard, side yard, and fenced back yard. Currently residing in the home are four adults (Licensee, husband, two adult children, and no minors, criminal record clearance are on file. There was a total of two adults present during this inspection, Licensee, and Licensee’s assistant, Carmela Rodriguez.
Areas accessible to children were inspected as follows: kitchen, formal living room, second living room, dining room, family room/daycare room, one bathroom located in the hallway and side back yard.
Areas off limits include: four bedrooms, one bathroom located in a master bedroom, attached garage, laundry room, back yard and front yard. Licensing staff reminded area’s designated to be off limits must be made inaccessible to children at all times.
LPA observed the following required posted documentation in the main entry way of the facility: Facility License, Publication (PUB) 394- Notification of Parent Rights and Licensing Form (LIC) 9148- Earthquake Preparedness form. LPA reviewed facility records for LIC 9040- Facility Roster, LIC 610- Facility Disaster Plan and Disaster drill log. Last drill was conducted on 06/21/ 2024.
