32 | LPA inspected the facility for safety, comfort, cleanliness, ventilation and working phone (cell phone and landline). For ventilation, LPA observed central a/c and vents located in the ceiling as well as fans. LPA observed the furniture, manipulatives, books, blocks, puzzles, games, art materials and other age-appropriate materials that were well maintained and free of loose, sharp, and pointed parts. Cots and play pens were observed for napping equipment.
LPA observed cleaning compounds items, stored in the laundry room, and observed a locked door in place, making it inaccessible for children to open. LPA observed the knives and sharp objects stored inside a top cabinet making it inaccessible for children reach. LPA advised Licensee to utilize a child proof lock for the cabinet being that the kitchen is accessible to the children.
The Licensee stated the facility provides breakfast, lunch, and 2 snacks, and utilize the food program Options. LPA informed licensee any food brought from the children's homes, the container shall be labeled with the child's name and properly stored or refrigerated. For water drinking, Licensee stated they provide water via store bought gallons. Licensee stated she currently does not have any children with severe food allergies nor on medication.
LPA Solorio Campos entered the bathroom and observed a working toilet, working sink with hand soap. LPA reminded licensee that personal items (ex; shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash, or items that fall into that category) must be made inaccessible to children.
LPA toured the outdoor area. LPA observed backyard has fencing through-out the yard and a gate that separates the backyard to be closed making the back yard inaccessible to children. LPA observed age-appropriate toys, free of loose and sharp parts available for the children in the backyard. All trees, shrubs, and plants are maintained. LPA observed adequate shade.
At time of inspection, LPA Solorio Campos observed a fire extinguisher located in the kitchen and the valve on the green area indicating fully charged and last purchased on 07/29/26. LPA advised Licensee to purchase the the required 2A10BC. LPA observed a carbon monoxide detector and smoke alarm combined located in the kitchen and hallway and were operable. LPA observed the first aid kit in the playroom to be complete with band aids, gauzes, adhesive bandages, antiseptic wipes and scissors. For ill isolation, licensee stated she utilizes the living room area. LPA observed the last emergency drill conducted on 08/7/26. |
