25 | At 12:30 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alanna Gontarek conducted an unannounced annual inspection to the above facility. LPA met with Diana Dearco, Licensee who guided analyst on a tour of the facility indoors and outdoors. Also present during this inspection was Licensee’s adult daughter/Assistant, Desiree Gutierrez. Per Licensee, there are 11 children currently enrolled. The Licensee is within the conditions, limitations, and capacity specified on the license. A current children’s roster was available for review. There were 6 children present upon arrival. Hours of operation are: Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. LPA observed Licensee wearing a face mask, and no children or staff wearing face masks. LPA advised Licensee that anyone over age of 2 years needs to be wearing face masks due to COVID-19 preventative measures.
This is a one-story home which consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms.
Daycare areas include: kitchen, hallway bathroom, dining room, living room, front yard and side yard (fenced).
Per Licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: Backyard and pool, 4 bedrooms, one bathroom inside bedroom, and garage.
The licensee states that 4 additional adults and 2 children currently live in the home. Per Licensee, she currently has one assistant. Per Licensee, Assistant is her adult daughter. All adults present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in the licensed Child Care home. Licensee states that there are no firearms, or firing pins, stored in the home. The licensee provides fresh perishable and non-perishable food in the home in a quantity and quality to meet the needs of the next 3 meals and between meal snacks. LPA observed snacks in dining area accessible to children.
All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible to children were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. There is telephone service via cellphone that is used and the cellphone stays at the facility during operation hours. There is ventilation. heating, and air conditioning (central). Each school age child has individual storage space. LPA observed storage area outside in front of facility. The following was observed and reviewed during this inspection:
