On 09/29/2021 at 11:41 a.m., Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Jose Guzman and Steven Tung conducted an unannounced complaint inspection to deliver findings of the above allegations. A risk assessment was conducted when entering the facility. LPAs met with Director, Maricruz Flores, who guided LPAs on a tour of the facility. There was a total of 10 children present with 5 staff.
Facility allowed a minor to escort day-care children around the premises- Complainant alleged that an unqualified and unsupervised minor is escorting children from the classrooms to the front to meet the parents. LPA interviewed Staff #1 (S1), #2 (S2), and #3 (S3). Interviews documented found that at times, Child #1 (C1), who is a minor, was observed escorting children without adult supervision.

According to S1, C1 has visited the facility and has assisted during pick up and drop off with the supervision of qualified staff. Based on interviews conducted, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be substantiated. Please note that a citation was not issued as the issues pertaining to unqualified staff was addressed and cited on 09/29/2021.

The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Exit interview was conducted with Director, Maricruz Flores.
