25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Staicy Perry conducted an unannounced Case Management-Other inspection, for the purpose following up on Armed Guard Waiver as well as Directors Package. Upon arrival, LPA met with Michelle Johnson, Interim Director / Administrator to whom the purpose of the inspection was explained. Interim Director/ Administrator Michelle Johnson, states they currently have 11 children enrolled. Census was taken and there are 7 children and 3 staff. Licensee's hours of operation are 6:45am-6:00pm, Monday- Friday.
During the last Annual visit conducted on 2/1/24, during the course of the visit, it was brought to the attention of the Director that a waiver for the Armed Guard and a Directors package is needed on file for the facility for the Department. On this date, LPA obtained a copy of the LIC 501, Personnel Record, LIC 308, Designation of Responsibility, LIC 200a, Application, a copy of Board of Resolution authorizing the appointment of the new Director, Guards Identification Card, Guards Permit for Exposed Firearm, Guards Guard Registration card, map of guard’s location in the facility and LIC 500, Personnel Report. Interitem Director / Administrator state that she is working closely with GSA to have the remaining of the items needed for the Guard. Interim Director/ Administrator Michelle Johnson stated that this is a Federal Building Level 4 Clearance and that the Guard is contracted with the Federal Police service. LPA was informed that Protective Security Officer (PSO, Guard) contractual process requirement is that the PSO must be at any post access point surrounding the building. Guard is also vetted. LPA did receive all other remaining documents for Director package via email on Friday April 12, 2024, from Interim Director/ Administrator Michelle Johnson.
A Notice of Site Visit was provided and must be posted for 30 days. Appeal rights were provided and explained to Michelle Johnson, Interim Director / Administrator.
Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Michelle Johnson, Interim Director / Administrator
