32 | LPAs observed the following required postings in the entry way of the garage (play area): License, LIC 9148 Earthquake Preparedness Checklist, LIC 610A Emergency Disaster Plan, Pub 394 Notification of Parents Rights, and LIC 999 Facility sketch.
LPAs observed the facility to be clean and orderly with central air/heating and working phone via cell phone and landline. Licensee guided LPAs on a tour starting with door entrance where parents/children enter, which leads to the living room (LR1). LPAs observed an L shaped sofa and age-appropriate toys. Then LPAs observed stairs that lead to the upstairs second level with a child safety gate making it inaccessible to children. LPAs also inspected LR2 which is next to the open kitchen and observed the furniture, manipulatives and other age-appropriate materials that were well maintained and free of loose, sharp, and pointed parts. Per licensee, children nap in LR2 and LPAs observed mats as napping equipment and licensee stated she washes the sheets weekly. LR2 has a fireplace barricaded, making it inaccessible to children. Per licensee, infants nap in the playpen in 1 bedroom on the first level. LPAs observed 2 playpens with tight-fitted sheets and did not observe any loose articles in the playpens.
LPAs inspected the garage (play area) and observed a cubby where children store their personal belongings, each labeled with their name. LPAs observed toys, pretend play, puppets, blocks, tables, chairs, board games, books, and other age-appropriate toys that are well-maintained and free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts.
LPAs observed cleaning compound items, stored underneath the kitchen sink, and observed a childproof lock in place, making it inaccessible for children to open. LPAs observed the knives and sharp objects stored inside a high top cabinet above the refrigerator, making it inaccessible for children. Licensee stated that she provides breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner and utilize a food program. LPAs informed licensee any food brought from the children's homes, the container shall be labeled with the child's name and properly stored or refrigerated. Licensee stated that there are no children with severe food allergies nor on medication.
The outdoor play yard entrance is through the kitchen’s sliding door. Per licensee, children are currently using the backyard for outdoor play time. The outdoor play area was observed to be fenced around the perimeter. LPAs observed that the outdoor yard has toys such as blocks, slides, tricycles, art materials, tables/chairs, and other age-appropriate toys for children to play with. The outdoor play yard is well-maintained and free of sharp or hazardous materials.
