25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) T. Tran arrived at the above facility to conduct a required inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with licensee Lillian Bonilla, licensee's adult son, her employee (see LIC 811), and observed seven children in care. About 12:30 P.M. we toured the accessible areas of the home. All adults have fingerprinted cleared and associated to the licensed facility. LPA observed proper care and supervision of children and ratios.
LPA observed consolidated Covid-19 CHHS postings by the entry and in the children's restroom. The facility have hand sanitizers, disinfecting wipes, bleach, masks, and gloves. Per licensee, families were mostly greeted by the entrance. Prior to enter the home, licensee completed temperature check for children then had children washed their hands. Licensee and employee both wear masks when caring for children. Per licensee, children were encourage to wear masks. LPA advised to log the temperature check for children. Per licensee, no daily health assessment conducted however, parents were advised to communicate with licensee if the family or children were not feeling well. The current hours of operation are from 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM; Monday through Friday.
This is a single dwelling home consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room/dining room, a kitchen, a family room, a den, and an attached garage. Childcare conducted in family room and a den. Children do have access to the kitchen, one restroom, and one bedroom during naptime. LPA observed the kitchen has safety latched on the cabinets and no sharp objects accessible to children in care. The two bedrooms, living room/dining room, and garage were off-limits to children in care. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. The enclosed backyard observed to be clean with some learning materials available for children.
LPA observed all posting requirements accessible to all parents. Licensee had current CPR/First Aid certificates (Exp. 10/2021), fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide and smoke detector meet regulations. Cleaning materials and medications are inaccessible to children in care. Licensee stated there are no firearms in the home. The home conducted emergency disaster drill on a monthly basis. Children’s records were reviewed and completed. |
