25 | On July 8, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Upon arrival LPA Ayala was greeted by licensee, Josefina Alsourougi who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. Also present in the home was licensee's assistant Elivira Javier who is associated to the facility and is fingerprint cleared. LPA observed 1 infant and 3 preschool age children in care. Per licensee, there are 8 children enrolled. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30AM to 6PM.
This is a single story house with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathroom, laundry area with chemicals and cleaning compounds inaccessible to children in care, living room, family room, dining room, kitchen, completely fenced rear yard and front yard. There is a in ground pool located in the rear yard. The pool is surrounded by a 5” foot pool fence and a wall. During this inspection LPA observed two gates that surround the pool that swing away and are self-latching with locks (unlocked) further securing the gates. The fence meets Title 22 Regulations.
The day care takes place in living room, restroom and completely fenced in front yard. The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPA observed working smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working telephone.
There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. Licensee has current First Aid and CPR, expires 03/02/2025.
