Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Martinez Garza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility on 02/28/25 at 09:40 a.m. LPA met with, Rosa Reynaga licensee who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. There were 04 children present during this inspection. Also present was the licensee’s husband and assistant. Per licensee, 08 children are enrolled. Operation hours are Monday – Friday 05:30 a.m. – 05:30 p.m.
This is a two-story home which consists of 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, detached garage, and backyard. Areas accessible to children include the living room, dining room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and back yard (fenced) for play. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, laundry room, and detached garage. Per licensee, there are no pets on the premises. Per licensee, family members residing in the home are 3 adults and 0 minors. All individuals present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing, or volunteering in a licensed home and are identified on the attached LIC811.
LPA toured all areas identified on the facility sketch used by children during this visit and were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Tour began in living room where LPA observed age-appropriate toys, equipment, and materials for children. LPA also observed stored cots and a barricaded wall heater. Adjacent to the living room the is the dining room, hallway leading to the kitchen, bathroom, and front bedroom. LPA observed 2 well mounted child proof gates that lead to the hallway and kitchen. LPA toured the front bedroom where LPA observed cots and play pen. According to the licensee, the front bedroom is used during nap time. LPA observed that the play pen is free from loose articles and objects. There are no objects hanging above or attached to the side of the play pen.
