32 | LPA inspected the facility for safety, comfort, cleanliness, ventilation and working phone (cell phone and landline). For ventilation, LPA observed central a/c and observed vents in the ceilings. LPA observed the furniture, manipulatives, books, blocks, puzzles, games, stuffed animals, art materials and other age-appropriate materials that were well maintained and free of loose, sharp, and pointed parts. Mats were observed for napping equipment.LPA observed cleaning compounds items, stored underneath the kitchen sink, and observed a childproof lock in place, making it inaccessible for children to open. LPA observed the knives and sharp objects stored inside a top drawer with a childproof lock making it inaccessible for children reach and open.
The Licensee stated the facility provides breakfast, lunch, and snack, sometimes dinner and utilize a food program. LPA informed licensee any food brought from the children's homes, the container shall be labeled with the child's name and properly stored or refrigerated. For water drinking, Licensee stated they provide water via store bought gallons. Licensee stated she currently does not have any children with severe food allergies nor on medication.
LPA Solorio Campos entered the bathrooms. The restroom in the hallway had a changing table, a working toilet, and working sink with hand soap. LPA reminded licensee that personal items (ex; shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash, or items that fall into that category) must be made inaccessible to children.
LPA toured the outdoor area. LPA observed backyard has fencing through-out the yard. LPA observed age-appropriate toys, climbing structures, riding cars, and playhouses free of loose and sharp parts available for the children in the backyard. All trees, shrubs, and plants are maintained. LPA observed adequate shade via trees and a hip shade roof.
At time of inspection, LPA Solorio Campos observed the required 2A10BC fire extinguisher located in the living room and the valve on the green area indicating fully charged and last serviced on 04/15/26. LPA observed a carbon monoxide detector and smoke alarm combined and located in the dining room and playroom and were operable. LPA observed the first aid kit in the entryway to be complete with band aids, gauzes, adhesive bandages, antiseptic wipes and scissors. For ill isolation, licensee stated she utilizes either the indoor area or outdoor area depending on where the children are at the time. LPA observed the last emergency drill conducted on 1/18/26. |
