On March 20, 2025, at 10:35AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Keneisha Dunlap conducted an unannounced annual required visit at the above facility. LPA Dunlap announced the purpose of today’s inspection and was granted entry into the facility by Director-Patricia Diaz. The Director conducted a guided tour of the facility inside and outside with LPA Dunlap. There are 23 children enrolled, and 18 children present, and 8 staff present at the time of inspection. This is an infant program with a toddler component with the hours of operation Monday- Friday from 7:00a.m-6:00p.m. All adults at the facility were discussed and background and fingerprinted cleared.

LPA observed all posting requirements for operation on the licensing board LIC 203A-License, LIC 610, PUB 393, PUB 269, LIC 9148, LIC 613A, Menus, Activity Schedule, and completion testing and remediated lead exceedances.
Documentation of current Fire & Earthquake drill was observed with last drill conducted on 2/12/25.

LPA observed an operable fire system, and carbon monoxide detector.

LPA inspected Classroom 1- the classroom was equipped with age-appropriate furniture and learning materials. Classroom has carpeted area, changing stations, sink, soft furnishings, cubby storage for change of clothes with children names. The facility a water filter with disposable cups or children sippy cups bought from home. The children do nap in rolling cribs, and baby mats. Mats are stored Classroom 1. 1 sink is used for handwashing only, and another sink is used for food prep. There is small refrigerator where the children’s bottles are kept. The First Aid supplies were inventoried in classroom backpack. All cleaning supplies and/or hazardous materials stored in cabinets and drawers with safety latches. LPA observed classroom, equipment, and materials to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts.

LPA inspected Classroom 2- the classroom with toddlers was equipped with age-appropriate furniture and learning materials. Classrooms have area rugs, changing station, dolls, library, manipulative play area, dramatic play area. The facility uses water filter and disposable cups for drinking source. The children do nap in the classroom. Cots are stored in Classroom 2. Classroom 2 has a Bathroom with age-appropriate sinks and 2 toilets. The bathroom was in good working condition. The First Aid supplies were inventoried in classroom backpack. All cleaning supplies and/or hazardous materials stored in cabinets and drawers with safety latches. LPA observed classroom, equipment, and materials to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts.

The fenced playground area has canopy for shade, small climbing structure, small slide, balls, artificial grass on play area, sand table, and age-appropriate tables and chairs. When the children are outside the facility provides a water igloo and disposable cups. There is handwashing sink with a step ladder on the outside of the fence. LPA observed main care area to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts.



All electrical outlets are covered.

All trash cans have lids.

The facility does provide breakfast, lunch, and snack. The food is provided by the agency’s main kitchen which is offsite. A roster of children names with allergies are kept in the kitchen, and in classroom.

LPA Dunlap observed sign in and out sheets for 3/20/25 printed from Care Connect App.
All sign in and out sheets had required parent signatures.
The facility was reminded that smoking is prohibited on the premises.

The isolation area is in the Directors office when any child is sick.

The Director stated they do administer medication at this time. The medications are kept in the refrigerator in the classroom on the top shelf inaccessible to children.



The facility uses a landline. The facility also communicates with parents via Learning Genie App.

Criminal Record Clearance - Child Care Centers- Director- Patricia Diaz was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1- CCP). LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP.

Director- Patricia Diaz was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.

No deficiencies cited during today’s inspection.
