25 | On Jun 8, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year inspection at the above facility. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Upon arrival LPA Ayala was greeted by licensee, Lisa Torres. Licensee Delia Estrada arrived shortly after. LPA observed 10 children in care. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7AM to 10:30 PM. Also present in the home was licensee's 2 assistants.
This is a single-story house with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathroom, attached garage that is used activities, living room, dining room, kitchen, completely front yard.
The day care takes place in bedroom #1, living room, dining room, hallway bathroom, garage and fenced in front yard. The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPA observed working smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working telephone.
There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. Licensee has current First Aid and CPR, expires 01/04/2025.
LPA reviewed children files; files were found to be complete. LPA reviewed staff files; files were found to be complete. Children and staff names were documented on LIC811 (confidential page).
The licensee has completed the online mandated reporter training at www.mandatedreporterca.com, expires on 02/03/2025.
