32 | LPAs observed cleaning compounds items, stored inside the garage which is locked with a door making it inaccessible for children to open. Kitchen was observed to be made off limits with a child gate. LPAs observed the knives and sharp objects stored in the kitchen next to sink made inaccessible to the children in care. For water drinking, licensee stated she provides water via a filter system and they drink with disposable paper cups. LPAs also observed lead testing dated 10/24/2025 and passing results. The licensee stated the facility provides a.m. snack, lunch, p.m. snack and dinner. Licensee stated she uses a food program called Options for Learning. LPAs informed licensee any food brought from the children's homes, the container shall be labeled with the child's name and properly stored or refrigerated. Licensee stated she currently does not have any children with severe food allergies nor on medication.
LPAs entered the bathroom and observed the toilet, hand washing sink, hand soap and did not observe hazard materials and observed the restroom to be in good condition. LPAs reminded licensee and personal items (ex; shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash, or items that fall into that category) must be made inaccessible to children.
LPAs asked the licensee if there were any pets, poisons, firearms, weapons, or bodies of water. The licensee stated she has a small pet bird in an off-limit area inaccessible to children and there are no poisons and no bodies of water, no firearms, and no weapons. LPAs did not observe any poisons, firearms, weapons, nor bodies of water. The license was informed that if any poisons (ex; drano, rat poison or items that fall into that category), firearms and weapons are purchased, it is required to be locked with a key or combination lock and firearm and ammunition must be stored separately.
LPAs observed the required 2A10BC fire extinguisher located in the kitchen and the valve on the green area indicating fully charged and serviced on August 27, 2025. LPAs observed a carbon monoxide detector and smoke alarm in the living room area. Per licensee she heard the sounds and are operable. LPAs observed the first aid complete with band aids, gauzes, adhesive bandages, and antiseptic wipes. For ill isolation, licensee stated she utilizes a corner of the dining room area and calls parents for pick-up. LPAs observed the last emergency drill conducted on 1/9/2026.
