32 | LPA observed central AC /heater and vents located on the ceiling. LPA’s observed the thermostat located in classroom and the temperature to be between 70-71 degrees. LPA’s observed the fire extinguishers located in classrooms and hallways and the valve on the required 2A10BC fire extinguishers indicating fully charged and serviced on 8/29/24. Smoke detectors were not tested during this visit due to the detectors being wired to the emergency pull down fire alarm system. The carbon monoxide detector is in the main entrance hallway and was tested by LPA’s. The last emergency drill was conducted on 3/12/25.
First aid kits supplies are kept inside the classrooms and LPA observed the kits to be fully equipped. During this visit, director stated that there are currently children with medication or severe food allergies in the facility. Medication observed to be stored properly with all documentation on file. The director stated no firearms, weapons, no poisons nor bodies of water are located in the premises and LPA did not observe any of the above mentioned. Director stated the ill isolation area takes place in the director’s office and children utilize the staff restroom. Lead testing was conducted on 10/12/22 and had no lead exceedance.
LPA’s entered the outdoor play area. LPA’s observed the playground to be fenced all around. The equipment was observed to be free of sharp, no lose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. Licensing staff observed play structure equipment to be age appropriate and areas around or under climbing equipment, are cushioned with material that may absorb a fall. The play yards had adequate shade via large canopies. For outdoor water drinking, staff bring out water pitchers and sippy cups.
This program provides breakfast, lunch, and pm snack. Meals and snacks are provided by their central kitchen. LPA’s informed director that any food brought from the children's homes shall be labeled with the child's name and properly stored or refrigerated. For indoor water drinking, water pitchers, bottles and sippy cups in the classrooms were observed. LPA’s observed the food preparation area to be clean and free of litter, rubbish, rodents, and/or any other vermin and storage containers for solid waste, including movable bins with tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects and rodents.
