25 | At 1:52pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Susann Sanchez and Ashley Calderon conducted a case management visit for the purpose of the increased monitoring plan as determined on the Non-Compliance Conference held on 07/12/23. At 1:58pm, Licensee son/assistant let LPAs in the facility. Per assistant, facility is currently open but children are present. Children are school and will arrive later. LPAs did not observe any children in care during visit. Licensee met with LPAs at 2:09pm. Licensee gave LPAs tour of the inside of the facility and assistant Paul gave LPAs a tour of the backyard that is used by children in care. Per Licensee, hours of operation will be Monday through Sunday, 6:00 am to 11:00 pm and does not to exceed 24 hour care at one time.
The home is a one story, 3-Bed, 2-Bath home. There is a dwelling in the backyard. Per Licensee dwelling is the same address and no one lives in the back. The following areas are used for day-care: 2 bedrooms, bathroom next to the kitchen, living room (as a walk way to the kitchen), dining room, and backyard area. Off limit areas include: Licensee’s bedroom & bathroom, dwelling, laundry area in the and front yard. LPA also inspected the bathroom near the kitchen and is free of hazards.
During today's visit LPAs observed the on limits day care area. Per Licensee most children in care are school aged expect for one child. LPAs did not observed any medications. Per Licensee, medications are now stored in a new location. New location is inaccessible to children and is in a locked closet. LPAs did not observe anything hazardous in "on limit" areas. Roster was reviewed and there are currently 11 children enrolled. Facility conducted a disaster drill on 02/02/24. CPR & 1st Aid expires on 01/27/25. Mandated Reporter expires 10/13/2024. Fire extinguisher was serviced 04/19/23.
At 2:37pm, two day care children arrived with Licensee husband who transport the children.
Exit interview was conducted with the Licensee, M. Gonzalez. A signature was obtained for this report. Licensee was provided a copy of this report. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. |
