25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) R. Derraco conducted an unannounced required one year inspection to the above facility on 08/18/22. LPA arrived at the facility at 11:00 AM and met with licensee, Teresa Arrington, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Also present during this inspection was an assistant S2. Per Licensee, there are 25 children that are currently enrolled. There were 13 children present upon arrival.
This is a one story home which consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, a detached garage, front yard and backyard (fenced). The off limit areas include 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a part of the backyard and the front yard
The main care area is located in the living room/dining area. LPA observed sleeping cots. a couch, a dining table, and Covid 19 posters. Emergency Disaster Plan, Parent’s Rights Poster and the Facility License were also observed to be posted in the main care area. LPA observed an infant walker in the main care area. LPA advised licensee that a citation under California Code of Regulation (CCR) section 102417(g)(10) will be issued. LPA observed the kitchen to be clean and free of defects. A table and chairs were observed in part of the kitchen area. Per licensee, children in care use the table to take meals. LPA observed knives, pointy kitchen utensils and other sharp objects to be kept in a cabinet above the kitchen counter making it inaccessible to children in care. LPA observed cleaning supplies to be kept locked in a shed located in the off limits area of the back yard. LPA observed bedroom 1 to have a bunk bed, and a play pen. Bedroom 2 was observed with a wall mounted television and a couch. Per licensee, bedroom 2 is known as a family room and children use it to watch television. The bathroom designated for children in care was observed to be clean with an operable sink and toilet. Outdoor play area is located in part of the back yard. LPA observed the backyard play area to have perimeter fencing, outdoor play equipment, a portable sink, and adequate shade. A chain link fence and gate was observed in the outdoor play area which is used to separate the off limits area of the backyard. LPA observed children in care using an inflatable water
