Upon arrival LPA observed nine children present with the Licensee and her assistant.
The purpose of this visit was to observe and inspect an additional room that the Licensee wants to use for the child care. This is a one story home on a duplex property which consists of 3 1/2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, side patio and backyard (fenced). The children will now use one bathroom in the hallway, living room, two bedrooms and the side patio for outdoor play. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: 1 1/2 bedrooms, licensee's bathroom and the rest of the property. The LPA toured all areas used by children during this visit.
Areas accessible to children were inspected to ensure that they are clean and orderly with ventilation and heating for safety and comfort. There is central air and heating in the home. There are toys and other age appropriate materials available for children. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and are operable. Fire extinguisher indicates fully charged, serviced 10/2022.
LPA obtained a copy of the new facility sketch witch includes the additional room. LPA advised Licensee that she can proceed and use the new space.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee, Angela Osorio.
