25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lissete Gonzalez conducted an unannounced annual inspection to the above facility on 07/15/2021. LPA met with Licensee, Eloida Villareal, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Also present was Licensee’s Assistant, Cindy Rosa. Per Licensee, there are 12 children currently enrolled. A current children’s roster was available for review. There were 9 children present, 2 being infants.
This is a one-story home which consists of four bedrooms, three bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, and front yard (fenced). There is a shed located in the front yard (used for storing toys). Per Licensee, the areas used by children include: one bathroom, living room (daycare room), daycare room (next to the living room) and front yard (fenced). Areas off limits to children and parents include: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, dining room, kitchen, and laundry room.
Individuals who reside in the home were noted and discussed. All adults present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance. Licensee states there are no firearms in the home.
All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. There is telephone service via a cell phone that is used and the cellphone stays at the facility during operation hours. There is ventilation and central air conditioning and heating in the home. Safe toys, play equipment and materials were observed. The licensee provides food for children in care.
Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger to children were observed to be inaccessible to children. Licensee states that there are no poisons in the home and understands that storage areas for poisons must be locked with a key or combination lock. The restroom that children use was observed to be safe and sanitary.
