32 | Drinking water is available and provided through Brita filters. Facility provides morning and afternoon snacks. Lunch is provided by parents from home. Facility offers an optional out sourced hot food service for an additional fee. LPA observed gallon Ziploc of snacks in each of the preschool classrooms with out labeling. LPA advised Director to make sure to transfer expiration date from original packaging onto Ziploc bag. LPA observed a fridge in the staff lounge that stores the children’s milk and advised that a fridge thermometer needs to be kept in there due to the milk storage.
Cots, mats and napping equipment were observed. Per director, facility washes sheets on site and parents wash blankets. Per director, facility has a washer and dryer on site.
Licensing staff observed all required forms/publications to be posted by the front entrance. All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins shall have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. Trash cans used to discard food have tight fitting lids. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects, and rodents.
Licensing staff observed the required 2A10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged and was serviced on 4/5/2025 on service tag. Per State Fire Marshall standards, fire extinguishers shall be serviced annually. Facility has a functioning carbon monoxide and smoke detector that meets statutory requirements. LPA did not test the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors as they are hardwired. Director stated there are no weapons, firearms, or bodies of water on the premises. The last Disaster drill was conducted in 2/28/25.
Licensing staff observed the outdoor play area. The playgrounds equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All areas around or under high climbing equipment, swings, slides, and similar equipment are cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. LPA advised to fluff the wood chips under frequently used fall zones ie, swings and slides. LPA observed the outer fencing of the yard to appear shorter than 4 feet due to collection of leaf, tree, and dirt build up and advised for fence to maintain 4 feet requirement. Per Director, she will have maintenance person remove some of the debris and straighten out the bent fence. There is adequate shade in the play yard. Drinking water is readily available outdoors.
