32 | Classroom furniture and equipment in each classroom were in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All indoor classrooms were inspected to ensure that the floors have a surface that is safe and clean. All toilets and washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. All materials and surfaces accessible to children are toxic free. LPA observed napping equipment(cots) in each classroom. Facility washes bedding, and changes sheets daily. Sufficient individual storage space for children was observed, and each child has a cubby. First Aid supplies are available and complete. Drinking water was readily available indoors and outdoors. LPA observed each classroom had a gallon of water and plastic cups for children to drink freely. Reminded director to label cups with children’s names. Licensing staff observed disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other items that are dangerous to children, were under the classroom sink with a latch made inaccessible to children.
This facility provides breakfast, lunch and snacks for children. There is a staff lounge with a kitchen that is used to prepare meals. Facility uses an outside vendor called Mama’s Kitchen for all meals; snacks are kept in the kitchen cabinet and additional food is stored in the refrigerator. The names of children with food allergies are kept on the refrigerator door. All floors are clean and safe. All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins shall have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. Trash cans used to discard food have tight fitting lids. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects, and rodents. LPA observed a kitchenette in the Lily Classroom with a microwave, refrigerator and sink.
At this time, the office is used as an isolation area. There is a cot available for an ill child to rest and the staff restroom will be used if needed.
Licensing staff observed the valve on the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged and was serviced on 10/10/2025, as indicated on service tag. Per State Fire Marshall standards, fire extinguishers shall be serviced annually. Facility has a functioning carbon monoxide and smoke detector that meet statutory requirements. Director states there are no weapons, firearms, or bodies of water on the premises. Emergency disaster drill was conducted April 2026 and documented each classroom. Disaster drills have been conducted at least every six months. There are First Aid kits inside of a backpack available in each classroom.
OUTDOORS: licensing staff reviewed the outdoor play areas. Facility has 3 outdoor yards, separated by age group, (2-3 yrs old), and 2 play yards are for (3-5 yrs old) the playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. Page 2 of 4
