25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lilli Babcock conducted an unannounced POC (plan of correction) inspection to ensure that the Type B deficiency for Lead Exceedance cited on 2/14/23 has been cleared. A COVID risk assessment was conducted. LPA met with Lead Teacher, Inez Landin, in Classroom 3, and explained the reason for the visit. As Lead Teacher was needed in Classroom 3 to remain in ratio, LPA went on a self guided tour of the 2 classrooms operating at the facility, Classrooms 2 and 3. There were 27 children with 4 staff present during this inspection. The following was observed:
ยท Facility has retested Sample Site C for Lead. Sample Site C is the sink faucet in Room 3, which was sampled on 10/4/22 and had a testing level of 6.0 UG/L. The facility has retested Sample Site C which was sampled on 3/15/23, and had a testing level of 3.1 UG/L, which is within acceptable limits.
LPA advised the licensee how to access forms, regulations and quarterly updates on the Child Care Licensing Website at: www.ccld.ca.gov.
LPA cleared the deficiency on this date and provided a copy of the Licensing Report to Lead Teacher, Inez Landin. LPA also issued POC clearance letter during the visit.
At this time, the licensee is in compliance with California Code of Regulations Title 22. Therefore, no deficiencies are being cited. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
