Upon arrival, LPA observed the Licensees providing care for seven children (six preschool and one infant). There are currently 14 children enrolled (which includes children who attend at various times of the day). LPA also observed one other adult assistant assisting with care. Individuals residing in the home have been discussed and noted. All adults present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption..

At Approximately 8:50am LPA conducted an inspection of all areas of the facility sketch. This is one story home which consists three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Areas used by the children include the living room, family room, one bedroom, one bathroom, an enclosed activity space adjacent to the home, and occasionally the front yard. Per Licensee areas off limits to children and parents one bedroom, front bathroom, the garage and backyard pool area. LPA informed Licensee to contact the department if she intends on using other areas of the home and to always ensure that hazards remain inaccessible. LPA observed a barricaded fire place in the family room. Children do not have access to the garage. LPA informed Licensee to ensure children have constant visual supervision and adequate staff for special activities in the front yard.

Areas accessible to children were inspected to ensure they are clean and orderly with ventilation and heating for the safety of the children. There is a working phone maintained in the home. Between 8:50am and 9:15am LPA observed age appropriate toys and play equipment inside the home. The backyard is accessible through passing to get to the additional activity space. LPA observed a pool in the backyard that is surrounded by a five foot self latching fence with a gate that swings away from the pool. The entire backyard is surrounded by fencing at least 5 feet high. There is a detached garage in the backyard that remains locked and inaccessible.
