32 | Sufficient individual storage space for children was observed, and each child has a cubby. First Aid supplies are available and complete. Drinking water was readily available indoors via water bottles/sippy cups labeled with children’s names.
LPAs observed the diaper changing table to be at least one inch thick, with raised sides of at least 3-inches, and within arm’s reach of the sink. Licensing staff observed a refrigerator in the infant room with milk/formula for the infants in care. All bottles with formula were labeled with children’s name/date and a bottle warmer is used as needed. This facility prepares meals via their kitchen for the children in care, breakfast, lunch and snacks.
Classroom furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Licensing staff observed disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and was observed to be in the kitchen, medication and other items that are dangerous to children, were inaccessible to children. The facility kitchen was inspected, the food preparation areas and food storage areas are kept clean and are free of litter, rubbish, rodents, and/or any other vermin. Trash cans used to discard food have tight fitting lids or solid waste bags shall be discarded immediately after each meal. All floors are clean and safe.
Licensing staff observed the valve on the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged and was serviced on 01/14/2026, as indicated on service tag. Per State Fire Marshall standards, fire extinguishers shall be serviced annually. Facility has functioning carbon monoxides and smoke detectors that meets statutory requirements. There are hard-wired smoke detectors that were not tested at this time. Director states there are no weapons, firearms, or bodies of water on the premises.
At this time, the directors office is used as an isolation area and there is a cot available for an ill child to rest, the staff restroom will be used if needed.
OUTDOORS: At 9:00am, licensing staff reviewed the outdoor play area. Outdoor playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All areas around or under high climbing equipment, and similar equipment are cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. There is adequate shade in the play yard. Drinking water is readily available outdoors.
