LPAs toured all areas identified on the facility sketch used by children during this visit and were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Tour began in the dining room where LPAs observed a dining table and feeding chairs. Per licensee, children only use the dining room for breakfast, lunch, snacks, homework, and activities. Adjacent to the dining room is the kitchen. Per licensee, the kitchen is off-limits. LPAs observed a baby gate between the dining room and kitchen to prevent children from accessing the kitchen. Across from the dining room is the living room. LPAs observed several stored play pens, cots, age-appropriate toys, materials, and equipment for children. (1) play pen was being used and LPAs observed the play pen is free from loose articles and objects. There are no objects hanging above or attached to the side of the play pen. Play pen does not hinder the entrance or exit to and from the space they are sleeping in. Licensee has a barricaded fireplace in the living room. The living room has a baby gate that prevents children from accessing the bathroom and (2) bedrooms. The children’s bathroom is located down the hallway from the living room. LPAs observed that the children’s bathroom is in safe and in sanitary conditions. There’s also a first aid kit readily available.
