Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Martinez Garza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility on 05/30/25 at 09:00 a.m. LPA met with Martina Aguilar licensee who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. There were 05 children present during this inspection. Also present was the licensee’s assistant/husband. Per licensee, 07 children are enrolled. Operation hours are Monday through Friday 07:00am to 05:15pm.
This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry area (detergents inaccessible), family room (located in the back of the home), front yard, back yard (fenced), and detached garage. Areas accessible to children include family room, 1 bathroom (near the entrance), and back yard (left side). Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry area, front yard, and detached garage. According to the licensee, there no pets on the premises. Family members residing in the home are 3 adults and 0 minors. All individuals present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing, or volunteering in a licensed home and are identified on the attached LIC811.
LPA toured all areas identified on the facility sketch used by children during this visit and were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Per licensee, children walk through the living room, dining room, kitchen and laundry area to access the family room. LPA observed there is a barricaded fireplace in the living room. LPA walked through the dining room, kitchen, laundry area that leads towards the family room and did not observe any hazardous materials. LPA toured the family room which is the main day care are and observed age-appropriate toys, equipment, and materials for children. LPA also observed 1 play pen (meets title 22 regulations), stored cots, and a changing table.
