25 | About 11:30AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) T. Tran conducted an announced joint visit with Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Team to follow up on a case management inspection at the above licensed facility. The agency had reported on 02/05/2024 there were several incidents involved children and staff have contracted Gastroenteritis (GI) outbreaks. Upon arrival, we met with facility representative (FR), Site Supervisor, Debbie Gipson and Executive Director, April Smith.
At 11:45 AM, FR provided us tour of the facility. LPA observed 24 children and 6 staff present. LPA observed the exposure letter by the licensing board. Per FR, on 2/13/24 the copy of the exposure letter was sent home to all enrolled families. During today's visit, children and staff records was obtained. Los Angeles County Health Department provided the facility Norovirus Kits information to ensure proper disinfectant.
Facility reported to the Licensing Department, Health Department, and parents were notified. The facility maintains all classrooms sanitized on a daily basis. Bleach/Water solution is readily available. The facility handled outbreak and reporting procedures met the licensing requirements.
No deficiency was cited at this time. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
