32 | The bathroom that is assessable to children in care which is located in the playroom was inspected, clean and orderly. LPA did not observe any hazardous material in the bathroom. The side yard was then inspected and observed multiple aged appropriate outdoor toys for children in care. All areas were observed to be clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated.
There are first aid supplies available. Per licensee, they provide all meals to children in care. LPA reminded licensee that food brought from the children's homes, the container shall be labeled with the child's name and properly stored or refrigerated.
If a child becomes ill, the child is isolated in the library area in the playroom while the child is picked up. A cot is available if needed.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children.
LPA observed a functioning smoke/carbon monoxide detector in the playroom area. LPA observed a 2A-10BC fire extinguisher. The valve on the fire extinguisher pointed to the fully charged green section and serviced on 01/08/2026. There is a working telephone on site. Per Title 22 Emergency Disaster Drill must be conducted and documented at least every 6 months. Per licensee, the last emergency disaster drill was conducted and documented on 5/04/2026.
Per the licensee, there are no firearms, or bodies of water on the premises. LPA did observe 2 small dogs in the who are made inaccessible to children in care. Licensee obtains current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification that expires 02/23/2028.
LPA conducted a children file review and deemed it not complete. 2 out of 4 children did not obtain Notification of Parents’ Rights (LIC 995A) in their file for LPA to review
LPA conducted staff file review and deemed it complete. However, LPA observed S2 who is a relative to the licensee during inspection, who obtains criminal record clearance. Per licensee, S2 only came to visit and does not help with the daycare children but potential will at some point. LPA explained to the licensee that they will need to ensure that S2 obtains all current certifications such as childcare Mandated reporter, pertussis, measles influenza ( or declination) immunizations and other employee requirements before S2 is allowed to assist at the facility. Facility will receive a technical advisory.
