25 | 7/3/24, at 10:50AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) T. Tran and A. Carter arrived at the above licensed facility to conduct an annual random inspection. Upon arrival, LPAs met with licensees, Diocelina Chalco & Fortunato Chalco and announced the purpose of today’s visit. About 11:00 AM, we toured the accessible areas of the home. All adults have fingerprinted cleared and associated to the licensed facility. LPAs observed proper care and supervision of children and ratios. The current hours of operation are 6:00AM-6:00PM Monday through Friday.
LPAs observed all posting requirements for operation on the posting board LIC 203A-License, LIC-9213-Notice of site visit, LIC 610 A-Emergency Disaster Plan, LIC 9148-Earthquake Preparedness Check List, PUB 394-Notification of parent’s rights poster, PUB 269- Child Car Seat Law, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, Shaken Baby Syndrome Poster, and safe sleep poster.
This is a single dwelling home consisting of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room/dinning room, a kitchen, a family room, and a detached garage. Childcare is conducted in the family room, detached garage, and in the enclosed backyard with proper shade. Children do not have access to the kitchen area. LPAs observed a door by the kitchen area to make the area inaccessible to childcare children. Kitchen area observed to have no sharp objects or chemical compounds accessible to children in care. Children do have access to a bedroom next to the family room that was set up for naptime. The rest of the house is inaccessible to children in care.The licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. The enclosed backyard is observed to have good shade and clean with lots of learning materials available for children. The licensee is reminded that smoking is prohibited on the premises. LPAs informed the effects of lead exposure for children between ages 1-6 years old are the most at risk for lead poisoning. A copy of lead exposure was provided.
