25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lissete Gonzalez conducted an unannounced annual inspection to the above facility on 05/25/2022. LPA arrived at the facility at 10:33AM and met with Maribel Salazar, Licensee who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Also present during this inspection, was Licensee’s father, Eladio Salazar. Per Licensee, operating hours are from 06:00AM to 5:00AM. There are fourteen (14) children that are currently enrolled. A current children’s roster was available for review. There were three (03) children present upon arrival.
This is single-story home which consist of three bedrooms, one bathroom, living room (wall heater; shut-off and boarded up, inoperable and inaccessible), dining room, kitchen, front yard (fence), and backyard (fenced). Per licensee, the areas used by children include: two bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, kitchen, dining room, front yard (fenced), and backyard (fenced). Areas that will be used by children were inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, ventilation and heating. Per Licensee, the areas off limits to children and parents include: one bedroom. Rooms that are off-limits need to be made inaccessible during operating hours. LPA toured all areas used by children during this visit. The licensee provides food for children in care.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated
All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. There is telephone service via a lain-line. There is ventilation and heating via an AC unit located in the bedroom used by children in care equipment and materials were observed.
