32 | Sign in and out takes place at the main entrance area and were reviewed to ensure that the person who signs the child in and out uses their full legal signature and records the time of the day. The director stated no firearms, weapons, poisons nor bodies of water are located in the premises and LPAs did not observe any of the above mentioned.
The following documents were posted in a prominent, publicly accessible area at the facility: Facility License, Notification of Parents' Rights (PUB 393), Personal Rights (LIC 613A) Menu (weekly), Earthquake Preparedness (LIC 9148), Child Passenger System Poster (PUB 269), and Daily Schedule.
LPAs observed the facility to be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair. Per Karine Khachatryan, cleaning crew clean the facility daily after hours. LPAs entered the classrooms and observed furniture, manipulatives, toys, games, and books made accessible to the children to be age appropriate and free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. LPAs observed each classroom has a cubby for children to store their personal belongings. Children were observed napping on cots at the time of inspection and Admin Staff stated that parents take linens home each week on Friday or as needed and return it on Monday. Licensing staff observed step trash bins with a tight-fitting lid inside the classrooms. Age-appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability and good repair in all restrooms within the classrooms. General sanitation was observed. Availability of indoor drinking water was observed in the classroom. LPA observed water pitchers and disposable cups in each classroom accessible to the children. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication, and other items that are dangerous to children, were inaccessible to children. LPAs observed the ill isolation area to take place in the main office with a restroom next to it. Main office has first aid supplies to be fully equipped and complete.
Heating, lighting, and ventilation were evaluated by LPAs. LPAs observed central AC/heater and vents located on the ceiling. LPAs observed the thermostats located in the classrooms and temperatures to be between 70-71 degrees. LPAs observed the fire extinguishers in the classroom and the valve on the required 2A10BC fire extinguishers indicating fully charged and serviced on 04/13/26. Smoke detectors were observed to be combined with carbon monoxide detectors and were not tested on this visit due to the alarms being hard-wired to the system and due to napping children. The last emergency drill was conducted on 06/01/26.
