25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dayna Chambers conducted an unannounced annual inspection to the above facility on 03/10/2025. LPA arrived at the facility at 2:00PM, identified self, and met with Maria Gonzalez, Licensee, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. LPA provided Licensee with a copy of the LIC 126 Entrance Checklist to help facilitate the inspection. LPA observed that also present during this inspection, was Berenice Velasquez, Maria “Lupe” Hernandez, Licensee’s Assistants. Per Licensee, they currently have 2 assistants. LPA observed 9 children upon arrival. There are 22 children that are currently enrolled. A current LIC9040 children’s roster was available for review. Per Licensee, operation hours are Monday through Sunday 2:30am to 1:00pm and 6:30am to 6:00pm (23/7).
Individuals who reside in the home were noted and discussed. This is a one-story home which consists of:
3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, front yard and no backyard. There is parking behind the building (detached garage). The children use the bathroom in the hallway. Per Licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: 3 bedrooms and 1 master bathroom. Children use the following: The restroom is near the living room in the hallway. The restroom that children use was observed to be safe and sanitary. The licensee takes the children to the neighborhood park with permission from the parents. LPA did not observe any infant walkers, baby bouncers, inclined chairs, baby saucers, or any similar items at the facility. Safe toys play equipment and materials were observed. All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Off Limit Areas include: 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen/dining room, and front yard. The licensee provides food for children in care. Licensee states that there are no firearms stored in the home.
There are two cats that are inaccessible to the enrolled children. LPA did not observe any pools, spas, hot tubs, fishponds, or similar bodies of water during the inspection. There is telephone service via cellphone and the cellphone stays at the facility during operation hours. There is ventilation and heating via ceiling fans and installed heating and air conditioner in the wall. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger to children were observed to be inaccessible to children. The licensee |
