25 | On January 6, 2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Monique Ayala and Kamile Martin conducted an unannounced Annual Random inspection at the above facility. Upon arrival LPAs were greeted by licensee, Alicia Torres who guided LPAs on a tour of the facility. LPAs observed 6 children in care; per licensee there are 6 children enrolled. Also present in the home was licensee's spouse who is fingerprint cleared and associated to the facility. The facility operates Monday to Friday from 6AM to 5AM.
This is a single-story apartment located on the first floor with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, living room, kitchen, completely fenced in front yard and rear yard. LPAs observed playpens for infants to nap in and observed the playpens to follow Title 22 Regulations for Infant Safe Sleep. LPAs observed mat for the older children to nap in. Per licensee, she provides sheets for napping. The children use the living room, bedroom #2, bathroom, front yard and rear yard.
The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated. Licensee provides breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 snacks. LPAs observed a wall heater that is made inaccessible to children in care. LPAs observed a functioning Smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide and working telephone. LPAs observed a fully charged Fire Extinguisher.
There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. Licensees First Aid and CPR expires on 01/28/2025.
