25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) R. Derraco conducted an unannounced required one year inspection to the above facility on 12/07/22. LPA arrived at the facility at 12:40 PM and met with licensee, Reynalda Plascencia, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Also present during this inspection was S2. Per Licensee, there are 13 children that are currently enrolled. There was one child present upon arrival. LPA observed additional child arriving at 2:25 PM
This is a one-story home which consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen/dining room, living room, a detached garage, front yard and backyard (fenced). The off limit areas include 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, detached garage, front yard, and part of the backyard. Per licensee, part of the backyard is temporarily off-limits due to remodeling being completed. Per licensee, the children do not go past the enclosed outdoor patio area of the backyard.
The main care area is located in the living room. LPA observed two couches, a children's rug, child sized table, child sized chairs and a wall mounted television. A fireplace was observed in the main care area to have a lock making it inaccessible to children in care. LPA observed the kitchen/dining area to have child locks on all the cabinets. Cleaning products and detergents were observed to be locked beneath the kitchen sink. The licensee understands that storage areas for poisons must be locked, not just inaccessible. No sharp or pointy objects were observed to be accessible in the kitchen area. LPA observed a bedroom designated as an activity space for children in care. Age appropriate toys, art materials, a cubby storage locker, and reading materials were observed in the bedroom. The bathroom designated for children in care was observed to be sanitary with an operable faucet, sink, and toilet. Child locks were also observed beneath the bathroom sink making contents inaccessible for children in care. Outdoor play area was observed with perimeter fencing. The patio area was observed to be enclosed with half walls and recess lighting in the ceiling. Additional toys, art supplies, chairs and tables were observed in the patio area of the backyard. The
