25 | On 6/10/26 at 11:00am Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Kamile Martin conducted an unannounced annual inspection to the above facility. A risk assessment was conducted upon entry. LPA met with Licensee Deepani Karunaratne who led LPA on a tour of the facility. There were 13 children and 2 adults present upon arrival. A current children’s roster was available for review. Hours of operation are Monday -Friday, 5:30am -7:00pm.
The following was observed and reviewed during this inspection. This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, daycare room, kitchen, garage, front yard, and backyard (fenced). Currently residing in the home are 2 adults and 0 minor children. All adults present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing, or volunteering in the licensed childcare home.
Areas accessible to children were inspected as follows: living room, dining room, daycare room, 1-bathroom, front yard and back yard.
Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and garage. The LPA toured all areas used by children during this visit. Per Licensee, there is a weapon or firearm on the property. LPA observed and verified that the firearm and ammunition are locked separately and in off limits area. Firearm is stored in off limits closet in a combination safe. The ammunition is stored in a locked box with a pad lock in the off limits garage. No bodies of water were observed.
