32 | of the hours of operation to ensure the facility is safe when the children return on Monday. At 11:00 a.m., LPA White took pictures of the areas where pellets were seen. LPA White also observed a small mouse glued to a trap far behind the refrigerator. LPA White did not observe any other vermin in the form of an infestation at the time of inspection.
California Title 22 regulation states, "101238 Buildings and Grounds
(a) The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors.
(1) The licensee shall take measures to keep the center free of flies, other insects, and rodents.
Director Thomas also emailed a copy of the most recent bill from the exterminator company on file to show that due diligence has been done to ensure a safe environment for the children and parents of the facility.
Based on observations, record review, and interviews the allegation of staff does not ensure the facility is free of rodents is UNSUBSTANTIATED. This means that it is not a preponderance of evidence to support that it did or did not happen.
Based on today's inspection there will be no deficiencies cited in accordance with California Title 22 regulations.
A Notice of Site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to post will result in a civil penalty of $100.
