LPA Perry conducted parent interviews, and no disclosers were made pertaining to the above allegation.
LPA Perry interviewed Staff #1, Staff #2, and Staff #3 regarding the allegation. All staff interviewed stated that the facility completes a Daily Cleaning, Sanitizing, and Disinfecting Log, which covers various areas throughout the facility, including classrooms, playground areas, and exterior spaces. Staff further stated that Daily Classroom Reviews are conducted in both the morning and afternoon prior to children's arrival and after children leave to ensure the facility remains clean and safe. All staff interviewed corroborate that these inspections are completed daily and that if dust, dirt, or debris is observed throughout the day, staff immediately clean the area. Staff stated that parents are encouraged to provide an extra set of clothing for their children as outdoor activities, sensory play, and other learning activities may cause clothing to be dirty. Staff further stated that the Parent Handbook advises families to send children in clothing that may become dirty during play and learning activities. Staff #1 and Staff #2 stated that if excessive dirt or dust is observed in the playground area, management is notified so that additional cleaning measures, including power washing, can be scheduled. Staff reported that power washing of the playground is routinely conducted monthly and may be conducted sooner if needed.
LPA obtained a declaration from Site Supervisor, Maria Hernandez, who stated, "Staff continue to monitor the classroom and facility to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in care." Additionally, LPA interviewed the Site Supervisor, who provided statements consistent with staff interviews. The Site Supervisor stated that cleaning procedures are completed both in the morning and afternoon, documented on required forms, and maintained by the facility. The Site Supervisor further stated that no concerns have been reported regarding children experiencing respiratory illnesses related to the playground or outdoor environment.
