25 | About 11:15AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) T. Tran arrived at the above facility to conduct an unannounced a required inspection. About 11:30 AM, LPA met Elizabeth Vasquez, Site Supervisor and we toured the facility inside and outside. Facility have the consolidated Covid-19 CHHS postings by the entrance. Temperature check and health assessment was conducted and logged. Staff observed wearing masks indoor.
All posting requirements for the operation was observed on the licensing’s board includes board LIC 203A-License, LIC 610 A-Emergency Disaster Plan, LIC 9148-Earthquake Preparedness Check List, PUB 394-Notification of parent’s rights poster, LIC 613A- Personal Rights, PUB 269- Child Car Seat Law, Menus, and Activity Schedule.
This is a Head Start Preschool with toddler attached and Infant (198400301) licensed on the premises. The facility serve all full day classes. The hours of operation are 8:00AM-4:30PM; Monday-Friday.
The facility had sufficient cleaning supplies to continue operation. All center staff that was present during today’s visit had fingerprint cleared and associated to the designated license number.
LPA inspected the furniture and equipment for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. Storage for children's belongings, isolation area was inspected. Napping equipment was observed. Age appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability, good repair, water temperature, toilet paper, paper towels, area safety and sanitation. All classrooms have trash can with tight lids, first aid supplies, smoke detectors; carbon monoxide/fire extinguishers were observed. Emergency disaster plan is updated and reflected to the current operation. Children and staff records were reviewed.
Food preparation area observed to be orderly and clean. All food items and snacks are delivered daily from the private vendor Chefables. Water accessible to children indoor and outdoor by water dispenser and paper cups. Separated outdoor play area observed and fully fenced meet the requirement. Equipment was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair and age appropriateness. LPA observed shade as well as drinking water was provided. Play area was inspected for hazards and inaccessibility to bodies of water. |
