25 | At 01:58 p.m. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Martinez Garza conducted an unannounced POC (Plan of correction) inspection to ensure the Type A deficiency cited on 06/18/24 has been cleared. LPA met with site supervisor Fernando Perez Cornejo who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Also present during this inspection was Norma Rivera program manager. There were 7 children present during the inspection. LPA observed 06 children in room #1 and 01 child in room #2.
During the inspection conducted on 06/18/24, LPA cited section 101161(a) all children were identified by the site supervisor as toddlers. During today’s POC visit, LPA was informed that the 11 children observed in the playground on 06/18/24 were toddlers and preschoolers. Out of the 11 children present, 7 were toddlers and 4 were preschoolers. LPA reminded the site supervisor that the license allows for 8 toddlers and 8 preschool children. Therefore, the facility should have been cited for commingling. Per program manager they will be appealing the citation based on this new information. Should the appeal be granted. LPA will cite for commingling. LPA obtained a staggered temporary summer schedule for outdoor play.
At this time, the facility is in compliance with California Title 22 Regulations. Therefore, there are no deficiencies being issued today.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
